The Manta swim club is extremely proud to be a part of the annual Operation Red Nose/Nez Rouge program. This community service program helps to keep our streets safe during the Christmas season by transporting people and their vehicles home safely. There is no charge for this service, but donations are much appreciated. All donations go to help support our athletes in their endeavour to be the best they can possibly be. We thank the community and all of our sponsors for their support.
2007 marks the 13th anniversary of Manta's Operation Red Nose in town. The program has become a respected and expected Holiday Season tradition in Winnipeg. During the past 12 years, hundreds of Manta Swim Club, corporate and community volunteers have driven over 15,000 responsible vehicle owners and their passengers home, safely, in their own cars.
In 2005 the Safety Services Manitoba has opened the first Manitoba Provincial Operation Red Nose office and Manta is working closely with them this year to run another successful campaign in Winnipeg.
If you would like to volunteer for the Operation Red Nose / Nez Rouge program or need a ride during the holiday season call 947-NOSE or e-mail us at the Operation Red Nose Office.
